October 29, 2026

O

pen Cosmos, has appointed Natasha Dillon as Chief People Officer, to lead the people strategy that will underpin its expansion as one of Europe's fastest growing space technology companies.

Dillon joined Open Cosmos in September, bringing close to three decades of international experience in people strategy, organisational transformation and value creation. In her new role, she will lead the company's people function as it continues to scale at pace, helping to attract, develop and retain the talent needed to deliver on its objectives.

The appointment comes as Open Cosmos accelerates its international growth, backed by a recent €300 million funding round and its announcement of plans for the 192-satellite constellation, ConnectedCosmos. The company's mission is to understand and connect the world through space, combining satellite data, communications infrastructure and advanced analytics to support better decision-making and address challenges on Earth.

As Chief People Officer, Dillon will help create the people structures, leadership capability and ways of working needed to support sustainable growth, while working to preserve the culture, agility and ambition that have defined Open Cosmos since its foundation in 2015. She will work across geographies and functions to ensure teams are aligned and supported as the company scales.

Most recently, Dillon was Senior Managing Director for Value Creation at British Columbia Investment Management Corporation, where she worked directly with deal teams and management teams to strengthen leadership, governance and performance. Prior to that, she was Chief Portfolio People Officer at Apax Partners, responsible for people and talent across 70 portfolio companies. Before Apax, Dillon built experience across the satellite communications industry, having spent seven years as Chief People Officer at Inmarsat, where she built and led the people function through a period of growth and transformation. Her people strategy at Inmarsat was recognised with the Chief HR Officer of the Year Award for Innovation in 2018.

Rafel Jordá Siquier, CEO and co-founder of Open Cosmos, said: "We are delighted to welcome Natasha to Open Cosmos. Her experience of building and leading people functions through periods of growth and transformation, including in the satellite sector, will be invaluable as we enter our next phase. Natasha will help us attract and develop the talent we need to scale internationally, while retaining the entrepreneurial culture and customer focus that make Open Cosmos distinctive."

Commenting on her new role, Natasha Dillon, Chief People Officer at Open Cosmos, said: "Open Cosmos is doing something fundamentally important - using data and connectivity from space to help address some of the world's biggest challenges. After spending a large portion of my career in the satellite industry, I know how much depends on having the right people, leadership and culture in place. The company has already built an exceptional foundation, and I am excited to work with Rafel and the team to support its international growth and strengthen how we work together across the business going forward."
