Open Cosmos and SGAC sign MoU for collaboration

itnessed by dozens of space professionals at the largest space event in the world, gathered in Washington DC this week, the MoU was signed by Open Cosmos founder and CEO Rafel Jordá Siquier and SGAC Co-Chair Arnau Pons.

The first steps of the new collaboration have already been taken, with Open Cosmos sponsoring the annual SGAC Space Generation Congress and by sharing a booth at the IAC this week. The collaboration will further include mutual promotion at events, Open Cosmos working with SGAC to post its jobs on the new SGAC Jobs Board and even more, offering the possibility to all SGAC members to apply for becoming an OC Academy Ambassador, giving to the young community the opportunity to be trained, learn and lead hands-on workshops about Space Mission Design.

Founder and CEO of Open Cosmos Rafel Jordá Siquier said: “SGAC is the leading international organisation of young space professionals, supporting the United Nations Programme on Space Applications. This program aims to use space resources to solve the world’s biggest challenges, which is fully in line with the vision of Open Cosmos. SGAC Co-Chair Arnau Pons added: “This MoU with OpenCosmos is strategic as it proves SGAC’s commitment towards helping young entrepreneurs that are shaping the international space industry. We are glad that we can closely work with OpenCosmos to solve some of the main challenges of the word to make it more sustainable. This is also in line with our current collaboration with UNOOSA towards “Youth 2030 strategy” to power the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).”
