Open Cosmos Wins ‘Overseas Investment Achievement Award’ at 15th UK-Portugal Business Awards

The ceremony, held at the iconic SUD Lisboa Hall on April 30th, celebrated companies that have demonstrated outstanding cross-border business success and investment impact.

This prestigious recognition highlights Open Cosmos’ commitment to building long-term, meaningful partnerships in Portugal, and acknowledges the company’s continued investment in the region. With the opening of its facilities in Porto and Coimbra and a growing local team, Open Cosmos is actively contributing to Portugal’s space and technology ecosystem while delivering innovative satellite infrastructure and data services to customers across Europe and beyond.

Isaac Ferreira, Mission Manager at Open Cosmos, attended the ceremony and proudly accepted the award on behalf of the company. “It was a great honour to represent Open Cosmos and receive this recognition of our work and commitment to Portugal’s growing space sector,” said Ferreira.

The UK-Portugal Business Awards, now in its 15th year, celebrate the entrepreneurial achievements of British companies operating in Portugal and Portuguese companies investing in the UK. This year’s event saw 37 companies recognised across various categories, with over 150 guests in attendance, including dignitaries, award recipients, and stakeholders from the UK and Portuguese business communities.
