The purpose of corporate governance monitoring at Open Cosmos is to establish a company rooted in transparency and the adoption of best business practices. Our goal is to evolve into a space-enabling company that not only contributes to addressing the Earth's significant challenges but also upholds a sense of integrity in all our business transactions.

For Corporate Governance, the focus has been on impact monitoring. Our missions have a significant impact on the Earth. However, while enabling these actions, our goal is to ensure the best practices for our business are upheld. We monitor the impact of our missions in terms of financial impact as well as impact made in terms of global objectives such as the sustainable development goals and the EU environmental taxonomy. As globally recognised frameworks working to achieve solutions to the Earth’s challenges, they form a fundamental north star for Open Cosmos to follow in terms of its operations.

In 2022 Open Cosmos utilised the voices of its stakeholders to prioritise its corporate governance and identify areas of improvement. 

In 2023, Open Cosmos focused on increasing transparency by monitoring its impact as well as improving its policies to align with the goals it has set out in its corporate governance agenda.

In 2023, 73% of our missions were aligned with the objectives of the EU taxonomy.
